PHIL SALMON – many thanks as usual to you and the other staff, plus of course, the members for putting up with us every year. Things are never sure in life but the one thing us three are always sure of is coming to Felixstowe Ferry Golf Club and never being disappointed with either the course or the welcome that we receive. This is why when anyone ever asks us about golfing holidays or days out you are always recommended.
BIRKETTS – just a short note to thank you and all the Team for your support and assistance in making our day a great success again this year. For once we were unlucky with the weather but that was definitely all we had to complain about – Lynne, Megan and Glenn all did us proud again and we really appreciate all they do to make our day so much fun.
CROYDON G.C. – our guys enjoyed the course at Felixstowe. I am sure the fantastic (benign) weather conditions helped – perfect for our group as we don’t play much links golf. In terms of overall experience with you the day ran very smoothly from “reporting in” and tee off, through to post golf refreshments and snacks in the 19th.
We’ll be back next time when we are in your area.
PRICE FORBES – I’d like to express my sincere thanks to you and your colleagues at the golf club for making us feel so welcome for our annual visit.
However, it is not only the staff that make our visit special, it is also the way that we are greeted and treated by the members.
It is great credit to the Club that we, as guests, are treated so warmly and undoubtedly helps us make the simple decision to re-book immediately.
So please may we reserve the Tuesday and Wednesday after Easter for 2017.
E.C.A. GOLF SOCIETY – we had a lovely day with you, thank you, I think all the players thoroughly enjoyed themselves and I know that Barry did much quality control on the sausage rolls! I’d like your chefs recipe for the pastry.
We had 66 players on Friday, one being one of your members, 0plus the four of us who were just there to eat and admire the view.
The young lady who spent the whole day on her feet serving us needs to be mentioned in dispatches, she is quite marvellous.

ROCHFORD HUNDRED GOLF CLUB – despite the windy conditions everyone of us had a thoroughly great day. Please thank all of your staff, from the Professional right through to the kitch and bar staff who all made up feel very welcome.
The course was great and even without the wind would have been a challenge.
Rochford Golf Club has a long history with Felixstowe Ferry as for many years we brought along a coach load of players for the Coronation Cup but with age creeping up on us all this has of late, dropped off.
I personally love to visit and am sure will be doing so again in 2016. Please thank everyone at the Club for their welcome and thank members for allowing such a large number of us to enjoy your hospitality on the same day.

IPSWICH GOLF CLUB visit – on behalf of John Hines and other players, may I thank Jenny and Ruth for their administration arrangements and the Bar and Catering staff who made us so welcome today. As always the Fish and chips were excellent.
Given the adverse weather over the last few weeks, the Martello course was in surprisingly good condition. The firm consistent greens were much appreciated – dare I say envied?
We were lucky with the weather although it was bitterly cold.

GOLF SOCIETY – thank you very much for your e.mail. We had a great day visiting you last week (3rd Sept.) and thought the two courses were terrific to play and the main course, in particular, was in a lovely condition. For sure we will be recommending Felixstowe Ferry to others we play with. Its always nice to play a links course as it gives us a variation on the standard parkland fayre that we encounter locally and Felixstowe Ferry is definitely one we would return to again.
There’s talk of us visting St.Andrews next summer – plenty of links challenges there.
Appreciate your help with making the booking for us, hopefully some of us will get a change to return in the future.

SUFFOLK FIRE AND RESCUE SERVICE – we had a fantastic time and were extremely impressed by the course condition, the welcoming staff, including the caterers, the assistance given by the Starter and the members attitude toward us. I don’t think it could have gone any better.
I would like to thank you again for your kind Prize of a four ball for the team winters. I was lucky enough to have been in that team (for the 1st time4) so will see you again soon.

ANNUAL VISIT TO FELIXSTOWE FERRY GOLF CLUB – thank you to you and all the Team for making our annual visit so enjoyable. Our visit has now become one of the most sought after by our guests. The reputation of the event has grown year on year and each time we visit we’re made to feel more welcome.
The weather helps enormously and once again you managed to turn on the sun. The course was in excellent condition and gets better each year. The bunker work will look fantastic when finished.
The bar is a natural focal point and Lynne and Mandy do an excellent job with fantastic smiley service and, of course, delicious fish and chips.
We have already booked for next year and we look forward to seeing you again next March. So once again, many thanks to Felixstowe Ferry Golf Club for making our visit so special.

EPPING FOREST GOLF SOCIETY – you could have done no more. Even the weather was kind to us this year, so no excuses for poor golf. We consistently attract a strong turn out for Felixstowe every year, even though it is the furthest venue we visit – which is an achievement in itself if you have heard the grumblings about long car journeys and the M25!
Of course, the cod and chips has nothing to do with your popularity – but it is the best lunch we get and always served with a smile.
In short, another excellent day and barring a catastrophe, we will be back next year.

BEN SARGENT – I just wanted to send a quick message of thanks. I am one of the PGA Professionals at The Wisley in Surrey. I played 9 holes very early Sunday morning. Your very police and professional assistant said it would be ok. I just didn’t get the chance to check/thank you while I was there. We were staying in the Clubhouse Apartment for a wedding on the Saturday so thank you again. I was very impressed with the course and your shop and hope to return at some point in the future.

GLUTEN FREE DINING AT FELIXSTOWE FERRY GOLF CLUB – I just wanted to say thank you for the wonderful lunch I had in December. I had to have gluten free food and your Chef did a wonderful job. It was so lovely to have real food instead of a “Baked Potato”. The staff were all superb and so pleasant.
So I shall be back in the New Year – you must be the best food outlet that knows what Gluten Free really means.
