Located in North Leeds Moortown are seeking applicants to run the catering franchise at this busy private members Golf Club. Moortown is renowned for hosting numerous major Professional and Amateur Championships from the Ryder Cup in 1929 to the Home Internationals in 2017 and in 2020 the club will play host to the R&A Boys Championships.

Job Purpose:

 

  • To deliver excellent service to members and visitors and maximise bar income at events
  • To effectively supervise, direct and motivate the bar staff

  • To assist with cash control and maintaining stock levels at all times

Bar Staff that work for West Kent Golf Club are an integral part of the front of house operation. They are specifically responsible for delivering a first-class service by setting up and supervising the bar on a daily basis and during events, dealing with a wide range of customers and functions. Shift patterns will vary.

 

Principal Accountabilities:

 

  • To open and close the bar daily for general use and events, ensuring that staff and stock are organised for cost effective and efficient service
  • Ensure that licensing objectives are upheld
  • Maintaining a smart appearance, following uniform regulations.
  • Establishing customer requirements and dispensing beverages/ snacks promptly and efficiently, in a hygienic way.
  • Informing customers of additional bar services such as food ordering and upcoming events, resolving minor queries and customer complaints.
  • To have thorough product knowledge to ensure customers are helped with their order.
  • To ensure that beverages are served to the correct specification i.e. that the correct measures are observed and the correct glass is used.
  • To follow the correct opening and closing procedures and to assist the House Manager in delegating jobs.
  • To ensure that adequate stock and equipment is available before and during service.
