Any questions relating to West Suffolk Golf Centre will be answered by the Club EGTF professional, Paul Geen.

Competition results and up to date news will be posted on these pages on aregular basis with a calendar of forthcoming events tee availability and basic club rules.


On the other pages you will find tips from the Professional, Paul Geen, the tariff for golf lessons, and on the hole by hole page you will find an illustrated plan of the course with Paul's suggestions on how to get round the course without using to many shots.

These pages are here to help us to communicate to our members, potential members societies and anyone with an interest in sampling what the West Suffolk Golf Centre has to offer.

Paul Geen, EGTF Professional,
West Suffolk Golf Centre



Paul joined the club as E.G.T.F. Professional six months ago. He has been playing since the age of ten, starting as a junior member at The Suffolk Golf and Country Club. He served his apprenticeship as assistant professional at Royal Worlington Golf club under PGA Professional Malcolm Hawkins for 6 years, and turned professional in 2002, gaining his EGTF qualification in Spain.

As most of the members at West Suffolk will tell you, he is very pleasant and easily approachable. With his laid back and easygoing approach, Paul has become very busy with both members and non-members looking to improve their golf and enjoyment of the game.

Pricing structure for lessons is as follows:

30 min £12-50
1 hour intensive £25
30 min lesson shared £20
30 min Junior lesson £10.

Playing lessons can also be arranged - they consist of 6 holes for £15 or 12 Holes for £30. On special offer at the moment Paul is offering:

6 lessons for the price of 5!

Saturday from 1 till 2 we have an open hour for junior golfers. During this hour you will receive tuition from our club professional on all aspects of the game, rules, etiquette, the golf swing, putting etc. This coaching is aimed at all juniors both boys and girls of all abilities, from beginner to accomplished golfer.

For this coaching there is no need to book just arrive at West Suffolk Golf Centre around 12:50 and Paul will meet you. Don't worry if you don't have any golf clubs as we can lend you some if necessary.


The club shop has recently been extended and is adequately equipped to deal with the needs of players and members at the West Suffolk Golf Centre. It is conveniently situated just inside the entrance to the club house and is open at all times

The range of good carried in the shop includes clubs, caps, bags, trolleys and balls etc. Remember special discounts are available for club members.
