Golf - Junior Section

 

The Junior Section at Waldringfield Golf Club reached a club record this year with 63 junior members, a 70% increase on the previous year. Waldringfield identifies this section as paramount for the future of the club, if we are to progress in our status and standing in county events in the years to come.

Subscription Rates
This year the fees for juniors aged 17 and under will remain at only £20.00. This is a nominal fee to cover golf union fees and administration.
The new Cadet Membership for young adults from 18 to 21 years old (age on the 1st January in renewal year) will also continue this year.
This subscription rate will be £295.00 however existing WGC juniors progressing to Cadet status will only pay £195.00.

Competitions
Under the guidance of our Junior Organiser Stephen Creasey, junior competitions have been held regularly with steady participation. We are looking to grow and improve these competitions and now have an attractive cabinet of trophies to play for.
In addition all junior members have full playing rights and can participate in all club competitions, which is not always available at other clubs.
With the inclusion of an excellent Junior Open, the infrastructure is now in place for Waldringfields Junior Section to go from strength to strength.

Coaching
Junior coaching will be reintroduced from the spring. This will be available for all juniors, including non members, with the hope of introducing more children to start playing the game. Please see link for details
