St Georges Night a great success.... - 20th April 2010

ST. GEORGES NIGHT at Stowmarket a great success

Pictures contributed by Mo Lloyd

Great night, another full house we were entertained by a young Tenor singer.We believe that the singer was booked by Ken as he will do anything for a tenner. The singer was very good and led the end of the night singing of Rule Brittania of course - With a quiz on each table it was really good fun and great food

Poetic Burns.......... - 23rd January 2010

A celebration of Robbie..........

Another great evening at the golf club

Burns night at the golf club is one of the most popular social events in our social calendar and a packed clubhouse again enjoyed a superb meal with a "wee dram".

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
As well as thanking our caterer Paul Lilly and Steward Chris White and their staff for providing excellent service we must give praise to our resident Scots, Bill Campbell, Alex Brown  and Lawrie Reekie for their contribution to a brilliant evening.
~~~~~~~~

Paul Lilly is pictured above presenting the Haggis. It is understood that the Haggis was caught locally out on the course. Although very rare in Suffolk. If you are lucky you will spot one around the 13th, 14th & 15th holes which is their natural habitat.

Having two legs shorter than the others makes it easy for them live on the side of a hill. We have been assured that this particular Haggis was dealt with humanely and did not suffer.
