Welcome - 1902 Club

 

In 2009  I approached a number of British Golf Club’s that, like ourselves, were founded in 1902. I put forward a suggestion that those willing to participate in joining the “1902 Club” would offer free golf to our members should they be visiting the area with work or holidays.
I am pleased to report that a number of clubs agreed to join this arrangement and are listed below.

 

Golfers visiting these Club’s must comply with the dress code and conditions of the arrangement.

 

All these arrangements can be made through the Secretary’s office at Stowmarket Golf Club with the approval of the host Golf Club.

“THE 1902 GOLF CLUB” ARRANGEMENTS

 

The arrangements with other Clubs listed are made with the arrangement of the respective     Secretary/Manager.  The following conditions apply but may be subject to change:

• The  Secretary/Manager will arrange the time and date of the visit and confirm via a letter of introduction, email or booking form.
• The visiting party must have identification and proof of membership.
• The system (unless stated otherwise) will be during British Summer time and be limited to Monday to Friday.
• The arrangement is limited to (unless stated otherwise) one tee time per week, per Club with a maximum of four players.
• The arrangement is for one round per day only.
• The arrangement is available for full playing members only of over 18 years of age.
• Visiting golfers must comply with the host club’s dress rules and club rules where applicable.  Copies are available from the Secretary/Manager.
• Participating Clubs may impose an exclusion zone around their area.

It is intended that this arrangement will provide an additional benefit to being a member of Stowmarket Golf Club
