The Golf Club Stewards Association currently has approximately 400 members.
It is divided into seven sections; Southern, Midland, East Anglian, Wales & West,
North East, North, North Wales with members in Scotland and Ireland.

 

The National Executive Committee meets regularly usually at various golf clubs there are also regular regional events. One of the main events is our annual Tent at the Open Championship, which has the reputation of having the best social facilities in the Tented village. With the most professional bar service the tent is the ideal meeting place for golfers and golfing enthusiasts from all over the world.


National Chairman - Les James

The 2011 National Chairman is Les James. It is the Executives wish that the association web site should be a notice board for all current members publishing the up to date information that the members require and should encourage new members to join the association.

As the web site develops you will find news items, advise, a calendar of events both national and regional, jobs, competition results, details of new members joining or older members retiring. This is a site is especially for members of the association and those that wish to be associated with the association and any comments on ways that we can improve the information that we provide to you will be very welcome

The Association Objectives are-

a) To found and administer a Benevolent Fund to assist members, associate and life members in need and dependents in necessitous circumstances of deceased members

b) To protect and promote the interest of its members and to provide and maintain such services for the benefit of members as may be decided in General Meeting.

c) To provide and administer an Employment Agency to assist members in obtaining employment.

d) To arrange such Golf Competitions and Matches as may be decided from time to time by the Executive Committee.
