Mens Club Championship
Some 60 players contested The Norfolk Golf & Country Club men's championship and one player stood out from the crowd with a superb 147. Jodie Wood took the honours having played some quite spectacular golf over the 2 days beating Neil Newton by 8 shots (155) and John Tavener into 3rd place by 9 shots (156 ocb)
Overall net winners were -1st Roger Godfrey (136) 2nd Chris Newton (138) & 3rd Al Ewing (139)
Gross winners on Saturday/Sunday - 1st Matthew Strudwick (75) 2nd Jeff Smith (78) - 1st Julian Ellis (77) 2nd Stuart Hudson (78)
Net winners on Saturday/Sunday - 1st Iain Phillips (69) & 2nd Kevin Coxon (70 ocb) - 1st Joshua Moore (Junior Captain 67) 2nd Dave Leggett (68)

24/10/2010 - Captains Drive In raises £170
On Sunday 24th October on a bright yet chilly morning the new Captains from "The Norfolk Golf & Country Club" Club Captain Greg Rolingson and Ladies Captain Jane Sheppard had their customary drive in followed by a club stableford competition for The Captains Putter.
The drive in raised £170 for Janes' charity Macmillan Cancer Support.
The overall winner was Kevin Coxon with a creditable 40 points - 1st mens John Tavener ocb 37 points and 2nd Stuart Henderson 37 points.
In the ladies section 1st Jenny Sheppard with 35 points and 2nd Alison Gillings 33 points.
Nearest the pins for the ladies were won by Sheila Gregory on the 4th and 13th holes and the mens were won by Tom Chapman on the 9th and Joshua Moore on the 11th.
The club also see the Seniors Captain James Gregory and the Junior Captain Joshua Moore take up their positions within the club.
Greg & Jane very much appreciated the support of their club members and look forward to an exciting year ahead.
