Purchase of units
Units may be purchased at any time at the following rates:
100 units @ £2.30 per unit = £230. 200 units @ £1.90 per unit = £380
The minimum purchase is 100 units annually to maintain membership of the scheme, to be payable on 1st April each year. The club will then pay the member’s annual EGU/EWGA County fees as part of the unit costs. Full social membership is also included.
A person not renewing Davey membership in 12 months will be taken off the register and lose their club rights. However, any outstanding points may be used up to June 30 within the resignation year, or be lost.
A person joining between 1st January and 31st March, the annual renewal will become payable on the 1st April that falls at least 12 months after membership begins.
Any number of additional units, but a minimum of 50, can be purchased at any time.
Using units for golf
The cost of each round is: Weekends: 10 units. Weekdays: 8 units.
Guest rates
Davey Members may invite guests and sign in with the Professional before play up to three on one visit. A guest may make a maximum of four visits per year.
Guests will be charged at £22 per round.
Using units
Davey members will be issued with a membership card which will record their units. The correct number of units must be deducted from the card before play at the Professional’s shop. Failure to do so will result in membership beingwithdrawn and any unused units forfeited.
Handicap
All members are entitled to maintain their handicap at the club.
Eligibility to play
Members are eligible to play in a maximum of six qualifying competitions during each year using Davey units only. Membership does not allow participation in any club trophy competitions, but in any specific Davey Member competitions which may be played.
Transfer to other membership categories
Davey Members may, subject to availability, transfer to another membership category at any time. The current entry fee will be payable, but 40% of the costs of ALL units purchased will be deducted from the fee so that only the net amount is payable. The value of any unused units, less 40%, will be off-set against annual subscriptions and joining fee.
Application for membership
An application form should be completed and returned to the club manager. On receipt, prospective members will be granted provisional membership pending an informal interview with the membership chairman and manager. Subject to general committee approval, the manager will confirm membership and enclose:-
Club rules, Membership card, Bag tag, Current dress regulations, Health and Safety Rules. Anyone without a current handicap should see the club manager for guidance.

Arrangements can be made for the fees to be paid by one third payment followed by monthly standing order payments but a credit charge is added.
We accept payment by credit card (subject to an additional 5% charge) or by debit card with no additional charge.
