CAPTAINS' DRIVE -IN
Fine weather was the order of the day for the new Club Captain Philip Gurr and Ladies Captain Joan Collison
at their "DRIVE IN " on Sunday 24th February 2008.
A Mixed Greensomes Competition with a shotgun start followed with 60 club members taking part, finishing
with lunch and presentation of prizes in the Clubhouse afterwards.
The day was a complete success and resulted in £200 being raised for the joint Captains' Charity
- Alzheimers Research Trust

Guess The Club Captain's Drive" was won by Mrs P. Webster and Mr H Scott and Mrs J. Peak for the
Ladies Captain's Drive.

8 couples played for the Captain, Charles Abbs, and for the first time two
ladies were included in the team playing against the junior members, which
had two junior girls playing. The junior captain, Kit Holmes, lead his
team. It was an excellent match with the result 4 games to each team
The day was concluded with lunch in the clubhouse.
