On the Course
Recognised golfing attire, including golf shoes, must be worn when playing. The folding of trousers in tops of socks is not allowed. In hot weather tailored shorts (shorts designed for the beach are not acceptable) or short skirts with a minimum length of 4ins above the knee may be worn. When wearing shorts gentlemen must wear either white or light coloured short socks or knee length socks of an appropriate colour. Shirts must have collars attached. T-shirts, jeans, singlets, tracksuits, training shoes and hats worn in reverse are not permitted. All players must have their own golf equipment. The sharing of clubs is not allowed.

In the Clubhouse
As defined for the course. Smart tailored shorts may be worn in the Clubhouse between 1st May and 30th September except in the dining room, where gentlemen will be expected to wear tailored slacks or trousers. Jackets and ties must be worn in the lounge and dining room at lunchtime on Sundays and after 7pm during the week, unless the Captain or his representative gives permission otherwise. Golf bags, holdalls, etc. are permitted only in the locker rooms. Golf shoes are permissible on the designated green carpeted area in the bar only when ordering drinks for consumption on the patio.

Behaviour on the Course
The etiquette of golf and the rules of golf as laid down by the governing bodies must be observed at all times. Please always replace divots, repair pitch marks and rake bunkers.

Format of Play for Societies
Fourball Stablefords are preferred to keep play moving. For other formats, such as two ball Medal play or Texas Scrambles, approval must be obtained from the Secretary prior to the date of your visit. Such requests may however be refused if there is a pressure on tee times.

All men will play from the yellow tee markers and ladies from the red tee markers.

Organisers
Are expected to ensure that all their guests and fellow players are aware of the above rules and starting times. Those who do not conform will either be refused the right to play or asked to purchase the correct clothing from the Professional.

Slow play is not acceptable
