Welcome to The Clubhouse

The traditional style spacious clubhouse is be-decked with honours boards that immediately confirm the rich history that the club has enjoyed throughout the past Century.

Whether you are enjoying a pint of IPA in the bar, a pot of tea in the lounge or a meal in the restaurant area you will be able to relax with excellent views over the course, left to ponder how those dropped shots just drifted away.

Ruth & Bruno Novelli and their team are responsible for all club catering from a snack or a full meal. There is an extensive selection of fine wines supplied by Waverleys.


The Club has facilities for a variety of functions for all occasions for which a wide selection of menus can be arranged.  Our Dining Room and Lounge can be reserved for weddings, dinners and dances.  The comfortable seating capacity of the Dining Room for a served meal is 100 , however for a buffet style meal we can cater for 140.  There is a dance floor in both the Dining Room and the Lounge.  The hire charge for the two rooms is £300.


   

Our Gilbert Room offers a very cosy environment with full dining facilities for 40 people.  The room hire charge is £60 plus VAT.

We are also able to cater for business conferences in the Dining Room or the Gilbert Room depending on the numbers involved.

We are able to provide a radio microphone for events taking place in the Dining Room or Lounge.  An overhead projector, screen and flip chart are available free of charge.  For that special occasion we are able to provide a variety of coloured table covers and napkins, as well as a cake-stand and knife, at no extra cost.  Within reason we will allow the rooms to be decorated with balloons and streamers for outside parties.  There will usually be some flower decorations, either real or silk, in situ but we are happy for clients to produce their own displays.  We do not permit our kitchens to be used except by our own staff, nor do we allow liquor to be brought in from outside.

   

We purposely do not list the menus we can provide for private functions.  We like clients to talk over their culinary preferences with the Chef, The Steward, or through the Secretary's office.  We prefer to allow flexibility and the personal touch rather than offer stereotyped packages.  Prices of course vary depending on the type and number of dishes chosen, but we have a reputation for providing quality and value.
