A hundred players competed in the Pat Lewis Stableford on Saturday. With Allan Byrne narrowly beating Daniel Meadows on count back after both players scored 43 points. Allan playing off a 16 handicap started strongly with a run of five pars, and despite a slight wobble in the middle finished strongly with an excellent par on the tough 13th. A mention should go to the outstanding gross round of 65 by scratch golfer 18 year old Chris Bartrum, which was comfortably the lowest gross competition score at the club this year. Another noteable score was that of 14 year old Michael Manser, whose 42 points forced his way into the clubs Tolly team. The winner of the ladies section was Celia Pearson with 40 points. Prizes were presented by the sponsor Pat Lewis.



2010 Pat Lewis Cup
Diss Golf Club held its 19th Pat Lewis Stableford on Saturday 22nd May. The large field of 102 players enjoyed glorious sunny conditions. The excellent weather was matched by a superb winning score of 45 points by Ian Withers. Ian won the competition by a significant margin of 5 points, which could have been even greater had he not 4 putted the 6th hole. The next best scores of 40 points were from the from the leading lady golfer Jane Brooke who has been in good form over recent weeks and Hambro Team Captain Archie Moore. Pat Lewis from Pat Lewis Peugeot presented the prizes and was very pleased with the turnout for the competition.
