Ladies Presentation

Prizes Galore for Ladies at Burghley Park

Burghley Park prize winners 2011

Burghley Park’s annual Presentation Evening took place on 11 November, with a packed clubhouse welcoming over 150 members to receive their trophies or celebrate the success of friends and family. Club Captain Keith Duff and Ladies Captain Sue Churchill presented the trophies.

The evening began with a presentation by Peter Billinghay of Walters Office Supplies from Peterborough, who have been sponsoring the June Medal for 24 years, and are the club’s longest standing corporate supporters. The Walters Medal for the ladies section was won by Jane Taylor with a net score of 70. We look forward to the silver jubilee event in 2012.

One lady player did particularly well in a prestigious external competition for which she qualified. Kay Hircock made it to the Midlands regional final of the EWGA medal, where she finished 6th, qualifying for the national final later in the year. There she finished 18th out of a strong field of 64.
