Here at Bungay & Waveney Valley Golf Club we are very aware of the needs of golfers with the ever changing pace of modern life. We now have a range of membership options to suit everyone and allow them to enjoy the fantastic country setting at Bungay Golf Club.
Full Membership
This remains our biggest and most popular category and offers an unrestricted 7 days a week access to both clubhouse and course. Membership includes food and beverage card which offers a 15% discount in the clubhouse, the opportunity to invite guests at a discounted rate for greenfees and guest rate greenfees at any James Braid Course in the UK under the Association of James Braid Courses. There is no joining fee and an opportunity to earn under our “membership introduction scheme”.
Included in all our categories is some of the best practice facilities in the county.
Graded Membership
First introduced 5 years ago for players between 18 – 40 years old. An incremental rise to the cost of full membership at 41, the graded system allows those players to keep membership who may not otherwise have time to play in a very busy and ever changing period of life. Such is its success that it has been recognised by Golf England as an example of best practice and has enabled us to treble our membership in this age range.
Flexible Membership
This is created and designed for people who would like Golf Club membership but who do not play regularly. This category fits perfectly with many peoples busy lifestyles. Play when you want using our new points system. It entitles you to achieve a handicap, may play in monthly competitions and have a bar card, points maybe topped up at anytime. Membership starts from just £300 pa for 100pts. Please call for further details. This category is limited to 50 members.
Sunday Afternoon Membership
This is category is for those players who cannot play during the week but have a small amount of time at the weekend. At just £170 pa this category allows you to retain membership and a handicap in an extremely cost effective way. Golfers who previously stopped playing are playing golf again under this new scheme.
Student Membership
Continue to play whilst you are studying. All you need is to produce a valid student card.
Affiliate Membership
This category is aimed at people who are new to golf and provides the perfect welcome to the game. If this is your first ever membership and would like to join a Club to gain more experience at the quieter times of day this is perfect for you. Fantastically competitive at just £215pa. This category is for one year only.
Winter Membership
From this October we are offering a 6 months winter membership for £215 when you use Bungay as your second course. When conditions are wet and many of our neighbours are closed continue playing at Bungay. Well renowned for having free draining sandy soils, Bungay stays open and on full greens all year round. No restrictions on when you play with a bar card included.
2nd Club Membership
We are pleased to say many people enjoy playing Bungay when visiting from other Clubs. So much so, we introduced a 2nd Club Membership in 2014. This gives everyone an affordable opportunity to become a member of Bungay in addition to your home Club. This membership includes a bar card and 7 days a week access. Please note handicap always maintained at your home Club and tee times not available between peak hours of 9:00am – 12:00pm.
Juniors
Juniors are always welcome at Bungay with our young stars under 11 years of age playing for FREE.
Social Membership
If you would like to just enjoy the benefits of the social side of the Club, our social membership is the one to choose. It allows you to use the Clubhouse with all its facilities, bring guests, and relax. You will receive a bar card and are entitled to unlimited use of the practice ground and putting green.
