Welcome you to our Club website which I feel sure our members and potential visitors will find informative.
Having celebrated a most successful and memorable Centenary year in 2009, Arkley Golf Club is justifiably proud to be described as a ‘gem’ of a golf course and is now firmly on the ‘must play’ list of Hertfordshire golf courses.
Our Club has a reputation of being very friendly and whether you visit for a drink or a meal in our charming clubhouse or a round of golf, you will be assured of a warm welcome. Naturally, we also welcome new members, ladies and gentlemen, and actively encourage juniors as part of our youth development programme.
As you browse through this website, I hope that the information will encourage you to contact us, arrange a visit, enjoy a warm welcome and a happy golfing experience in the near future.
Arkley Golf Club
With its unique James Braid design, Arkley’s tight fairways and fast sloping greens are amongst the best in Hertfordshire. The course has nine holes with eighteen tees, measures 6046 yards and includes two par 5s, one of which measures over 500 yards, eleven par 4s, the longest being 434 yards, and five par 3s, the longest of which is 216 yards. The course plays well throughout the year, including the winter months, and no temporary greens or teeing mats are ever used at Arkley.
Opened in August 1909, Arkley Golf Club offers a warm welcome to all. We pride ourselves in being a friendly, modern and progressive club, run by members for members with a course that is a good test for golfers of all standards.
The Club is situated close to the A1 and the M25, and a short bus ride (route 107) from both Elstree/Borehamwood railway station and High Barnet underground station.
