Societies
Societies are very welcome throughout the year. Our aim is to make your day with us a memorable and enjoyable one for everyone and our Club Office will be delighted to discuss any particular requirements you may have with your organiser.
We offer 36, 27 and 18-hole packages in the summer months, all priced to provide great value for money. Our course lends itself in particular to 27 holes, when visitors can combine a competitive round with a more relaxed
9 holes, before or after lunch.
If you are thinking about playing in the winter months, then please talk to our Course Manager. Our winter deals offer truly exceptional value - the course has some of the best drainage in the area and tends to play particularly well in winter. There are no temporary greens or teeing mats at Arkley, ever - this is Club policy.
Our preferred days for societies are Mondays, Wednesdays or Fridays, though if a different day is required please contact the Club Office because we will always try to accommodate you if possible.

On the Day
To make your day as enjoyable as possible please remember the following:
- The organiser is responsible for ensuring all players understand and comply with the Rules of Golf and course etiquette. It is expected that all players can play to a reasonable standard and will not hold up play. Players are encouraged to keep up with the players in front and ahead of those behind.
- Please ensure all players in the party replace divots, repair pitch marks, rake bunkers, leave rakes in bunkers and place litter in the bins provided around the course.
- An appropriate standard of dress is required at all times. Golf shoes must be worn on the course but are not permitted in the clubhouse lounge. Jeans, sleeveless shirts, tracksuits and trainers are not allowed on the course or in the clubhouse. All parts of the clubhouse are designated no smoking areas.
- The organiser is responsible for settling the account prior to departure from the clubhouse.
- Mobile phones are not permitted on the course or in the clubhouse but are restricted to the car park or the patio.
- Play will be from the Yellow Tees (Ladies play from the Red Tees) and only the following types of play are permitted:
- Individual stroke-play or stableford in 2’s or 3’s
- Better Ball stroke-play or stableford in 3’s or 4’s
- Greensomes or foursomes
- Tee-times are pre-arranged and it is essential that they are strictly adhered to.
- The Clubhouse is open from 7.30am and the bar is open from 11.30am. There are full visitor changing facilities.
- If you haven’t already, may we ask you to read the Visitor information in this section to familiarise yourself with our club and course.
