GENERAL
Members, guests and visitors are expected to dress and conduct themselves in a manner reflecting the best traditions of the game and of the club. In particular:
- Cleanliness, good manners & courtesy are the minimum expectations in the Clubhouse and on the Course.
- Golfing etiquette, as set out in The Rules of Golf (Section 1), should be observed at all times.
DRESS CODE
Please be smart at all times and wear proper golfing attire on the Course. In addition:
- Golf shoes must be worn on the Course. No golf shoes (whether spiked or not may be worn in the Clubhouse, except in the stud bar.
- Men must wear a top with sleeves and a collar, turtle or roll neck on the Course or in the Clubhouse. Ladies may wear a sleeveless top with a collar.
- Denim, tracksuits, trainers, football shirts & collarless “T” shirts are not acceptable on the Course or in the Clubhouse.
- Shorts may be worn on the course and in the Clubhouse. They must be above the knee, tailored and worn with long socks of any colour or predominantly white sports socks. Ladies may wear trainer liners.
- Plus-twos or Plus-fours may be worn with long socks. Trousers must not be tucked into socks or fastened with clips.
- No headgear of any kind may be worn in the Clubhouse except for religious or medical reasons). Hats or caps must be worn with the peaks at the front when on the Course.
- Golfing Clothes may be worn in the stud bar. However it is preferred that players change out of their golfing clothing when using the main lounge after golf and they must do if their clothing is obviously dirty, wet or soiled in order to avoid causing offence to others.
- Smart casual dress is required for functions unless specifically stated otherwise.
ETIQUETTE
Please respect the basic principles of golfing etiquette: avoid slow play, repair divot & pitch marks and rake bunkers. In addition:
Mobile telephones must not be used on the Course or in the Clubhouse (except by members of the emergency services or medical profession on call).
- Practicing on the Course is prohibited
- Changing clothes including footwear, in the car park is prohibited
- Golf clubs and equipment are not allowed in the Clubhouse and must not be left on the patio in front of the main lounge and stud bar.
