Suffolk Winter Alliance - About Us

The Suffolk Winter Alliance 1958 - 2017

The Suffolk Winter Alliance has been a golfing institution for over 50 years (celebrated in March 2008). It was formed to promote winter golf amongst Suffolk golf club members, both amateur and professional.

Membership is open to members of Suffolk Golf Clubs and their Guests. To become a member players must be aged over 18 years and play off a handicap of 21 or less.

The meetings are played over 18 holes in either a four ball better ball or a Team competition, using the Stableford points system. In tandem with the Stableford competition, professionals compete with each other in a stroke play competition at each of the meetings.

MEMBERSHIP CARDS will only be available (at £10.00 each) for the coming Winter Golfing Season 2017/2018 from the Alliance Secretary on entering your first meeting.
